Coffee-Toffee Bars Recipe

This recipe is from my grandma, who got it from a Pillsbury Bake-Off Cookbook.

An incredible recipe that is sure to find a place in your favorites list! This simple toffee has the oozing goodness you get from your regular toffee bars but with a caffeine twist!

Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ cups flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 2 tbsp instant coffee mix
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cup almonds , or walnuts

Instructions

  1. Cream the butter and brown sugar together.
  2. Sift together and blend in the flour, salt, baking powder, coffee mix, almond extract, chocolate chips, and nuts.
  3. Press into a well-greased 13x9-inch pan.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes.

  5. Cut into squares while still warm.
