How To Make Butterscotch Birds’ Nests (or “Haystacks”)

Uncooked noodles are coated in peanut butter, butterscotch, and marshmallows to make these butterscotch birds’ nests, a fun and kid-friendly Easter dessert.

Ingredients

  • 12ozbutterscotch chips,(1 bag)
  • 1cuppeanut butter
  • 2cupsminiature marshmallows
  • 6ozchow mein noodles
  • candy eggs,for decor, optional

Instructions

  1. Line a cookie sheet (or two) with waxed paper.

  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, carefully heat the butterscotch chips until they are melted.

  3. Then stir in the peanut butter, and mix until it is melted and the mixture is smooth. Add the chow mein noodles and marshmallows and continue stirring until everything is evenly coated.

  4. Drop by spoonfuls onto the waxed paper. Let cool until they are hardened.
