How To Make Rice Cooker Orange Upside-Down Cake
This incredibly tasty and easy-to-make orange upside-down cake is deliciously made in a rice cooker with pancake mix, zesty orange, and rich cream cheese.

Ingredients
- ¼cupcream cheese,room temperature
- ½cupsugar,plus 1 tbsp, divided
- 2large eggs
- 1orange,washed
- 1tbsplemon juice
- 1cuppancake mix
- ¼cupbutter,melted, plus more for greasing the pan
Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese and ½ cup of sugar. Add the eggs and whisk until combined.

Zest ½ of the orange over the batter. Add the lemon juice and whisk to combine.

Add the pancake mix and melted butter, and whisk until the batter is smooth.

Brush the bowl of the rice cooker with melted butter. Sprinkle the remaining 1 tablespoon of sugar on the inside of the bowl so that it is well coated.

Slice the orange into 7 thin slices, and lay them on the inside of the bowl. Pour the batter over the oranges.

Cook for 40 minutes.

Remove the bowl of the rice cooker and place a plate over the top. Carefully flip the bowl upside-down so that the cake slides onto the plate with the orange slices on top.
