  • 16.5 oz vanilla cake mix, (1 box)
  • 3.5 oz instant pudding mix, strawberry-flavored
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 cup water
  • cup butter
  • 3 oz strawberry gelatin, (1 box)
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced

Instructions

  1. Set the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease the cake pans with butter.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix and instant pudding mix with egg whites, water, and butter. Mix well.

  3. Pour the mixture into 2 greased round 9-inch pans. Place in the oven and bake for 1 hour.

  4. Remove the cake from the oven. Let it cool for 30 minutes.

  5. In the meantime, prepare jello according to package directions. As soon as the gelatin thickens, mix in the strawberries.

  6. Put jello inside the fridge for at least 4 hours.

  7. Slice the cake into half, horizontally.

  8. Once the gelatin is ready, spread the jello in between cake halves.
