How To Make Foolproof No Egg, No Oil Chocolate Cake

A foolproof recipe for delicious chocolate cake even without eggs nor oil! It's a surprisingly rich cake with a decadent mouthfeel that would surely be in your go-to dessert recipe list.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups plain flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 6 tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. vinegar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3/4 cup applesauce
  • 2 cups cold water

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients.
  2. Make 3 holes and pour vinegar into 1st, vanilla in 2nd, and applesauce in 3rd.
  3. Pour water over all ingredients.
  4. Stir up.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes in a 9x13 pan.
  6. You may even mix in same pan you cook in.
  7. Cover and let stand for 15-30 minutes before serving.
