How To Make Crusty Loaf Cake

This loaf cake is actually a five-ingredient pound cake that comes out moist and tender on the inside and crisp and crusty on the outside.

Cooking: 50 minutes
Total: 1 hour 5 minutes



  • 1cupbutter flavored shortening
  • 2cupswhite sugar
  • 6eggs
  • 1tspvanilla extract
  • 2cupsall purpose flour


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray pan with non-stick spray.

  2. Cream together the shortening and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, flour and mix well.

  3. Pour into prepared pan and bake at 350 degrees F for 50 to 60 minutes or until top is golden brown.
