How To Make Chocodiles

Satisfy your sweet tooth craving with these delightful chocodiles bars, made with a peanut butter cookie base and a nutty chocolate topping.

  • ½ cup butter
  • cups brown sugar, firmly packed
  • ½ cup vegetable shortening
  • cup peanut butter, crunchy, plus ½ cup more for topping
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips, semisweet
  • ½ cup peanut butter, crunchy
  • cups corn flakes, slightly crushed


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, butter, shortening, ⅓ cup of peanut butter, vanilla, and egg; blend well.

  3. Stir in flour and salt; mix well.

  4. Press the dough into ungreased square cake pan.

  5. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until lightly golden brown.

  6. Cool slightly.
  7. In a medium saucepan, melt chocolate chips over low heat.

  8. Stir in the remaining peanut butter and corn flakes.

  9. Spread over slightly cooled base.
  10. Cool slightly and cut into bars. Enjoy!
