Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin steak, sliced into thin strips
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 cups mixed greens
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup sliced cucumber
  • 1/2 cup sliced red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • For the dressing:
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Season the beef with salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a skillet over high heat and sear the beef until browned on all sides, about 2-3 minutes.

  2. In a large bowl, toss together the mixed greens, carrots, cucumber, red onion, cilantro, green onions, and sesame seeds.

  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the rice vinegar, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic.

  4. Divide the salad onto four plates and top each with the seared beef. Drizzle the dressing over the top.
