How To Make Chinese Tofu and Spicy Mapo Sauce Recipe
A spicy and savory dish featuring soft tofu and a flavorful sauce.

Ingredients
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 tbsp Sichuan peppercorns
- 1 tbsp chili flakes
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 1 tbsp fermented black beans, rinsed and chopped
- 2 tbsp spicy bean sauce (doubanjiang)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 lb soft tofu, cut into cubes
- 2 scallions, thinly sliced
Instructions

In a wok or skillet, heat the vegetable oil.

Add the ground pork and cook for 5 minutes, breaking it up into small pieces.

Add the Sichuan peppercorns, chili flakes, garlic, ginger, and fermented black beans, stirring for another minute.

Add the spicy bean sauce, chicken broth, and soy sauce. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer.

Add the soft tofu and gently stir to combine. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the tofu is heated through.

Serve hot, garnished with scallions.
