Ingredients

  • 1 lb. medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 small head Chinese cabbage, sliced
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp. oyster sauce
  • Salt, to taste
  • Green onions, sliced for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine shrimp, cornstarch, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. Stir until evenly coated.

  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  3. Once heated, add onion and garlic, and cook until fragrant.

  4. Add the shrimp and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, or until pink.

  5. Add the sliced cabbage, chicken broth, oyster sauce, and salt.

  6. Continue to stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender.

  7. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
