How To Make The Border Carne Asada Recipe

This classic Mexican dish features a marinated steak with bold flavors and is perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs flank or skirt steak
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large resealable plastic bag, mix together the oil, lime juice, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt and pepper.

  2. Add in the flank or skirt steak and coat well with the marinade.

  3. Let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight.

  4. Preheat grill to high heat and oil the grates.

  5. Grill the steak on each side for 5-7 minutes or until desired doneness is reached.

  6. Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
