Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 pound scallops
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.

  2. Add the shrimp and scallops and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink.

  3. Remove the seafood from the skillet and set aside.

  4. Add the red bell pepper, yellow onion, garlic, and ginger to the skillet and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until tender.

  5. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil.

  6. Add the sauce to the skillet and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until the vegetables are coated.

  7. Add the seafood back to the skillet and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until heated through.

  8. Season with salt and pepper, and garnish with green onions before serving.
