How To Make Long John Silver’s Clam Chowder Recipe
A creamy and flavorful soup made with fresh clams, potatoes, and other ingredients, perfect for a chilly day.

Ingredients
- 2 cans of clams, chopped
- 2 cups of potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup of onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup of celery, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 3 cups of milk
- 2 tbsp of butter
- 2 tbsp of flour
- 1/2 tsp of thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped onions, celery, and minced garlic. Cook until the vegetables are soft.

Add flour to the pot and mix well. Cook for one minute while stirring.

Add the chopped clams (with their juice), diced potatoes, thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.

Add enough water to cover the ingredients and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat and let the chowder simmer for 30-35 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add milk to the pot and continue to simmer for another 5-10 minutes, or until heated through.
