How To Make Lone Star Smoked Brisket Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 pounds beef brisket
  • 1/4 cup chili powder
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp kosher salt
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat smoker to 225°F.

  2. In a small bowl, mix together chili powder, brown sugar, smoked paprika, kosher salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.

  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the brisket, making sure to coat it evenly.

  4. Place the brisket in the smoker and cook for 10 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 195°F.

  5. Remove the brisket from the smoker and let it rest for 20-30 minutes.

  6. Slice and serve with a drizzle of beef broth.
