How To Make Kermit’s Shrimp Creole Recipe
A spicy and flavorful dish featuring succulent shrimp cooked in a tomato-based sauce with vegetables and Cajun spices.

Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 ribs celery, chopped
- 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- cooked rice, for serving
Instructions

In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.

Add the onion, bell pepper, and celery, and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the jalapeno and garlic, and cook for another minute.

Stir in the flour, and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Add the chicken broth, diced tomatoes (including their juices), tomato paste, and all of the spices.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 15 minutes.

Add the shrimp to the pot, and cook until they are pink and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.

Serve hot over cooked rice.
