Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

  2. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal parts and shape into patties.

  3. Season the patties with salt and pepper.

  4. Grill the burgers for 3-4 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F.

  5. Place a slice of cheese on top of each patty and let it melt.

  6. Spread a tablespoon of butter on each bun and toast them on the grill for 1-2 minutes.

  7. Assemble the burgers by placing a patty with melted cheese on the bottom bun and top with the other half.

  8. Serve hot with your favorite sides.
