Ingredients

  • 1 cup of chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1 prepared pie crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

  2. In a saucepan, combine the chocolate chips, heavy cream, and unsalted butter over low heat.

  3. Once the mixture is melted and smooth, remove from the heat and whisk in the granulated sugar, salt, egg, and vanilla extract.

  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust and spread it evenly.

  5. Bake for 20 minutes or until set. Allow the tart to cool to room temperature before chilling it in the refrigerator for at least an hour.

  6. Serve chilled, topped with whipped cream or fresh berries, if desired.
