How To Make Chicken Sausage and Pesto Pasta Recipe

This pasta dish is packed with flavor thanks to the chicken sausage and homemade pesto sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb of pasta
  • 4 chicken sausages, sliced
  • 1/2 cup of pine nuts
  • 2 cups of fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions.

  2. In a pan, cook sliced chicken sausage until browned. Set aside.

  3. In a food processor, combine pine nuts, basil, Parmesan cheese, and garlic. Pulse until roughly chopped.

  4. With the food processor still running, add olive oil in a steady stream until the sauce is smooth.

  5. Combine cooked pasta, chicken sausage, and pesto sauce in a large pot. Toss until well-coated.

  6. Serve hot and garnish with additional Parmesan cheese, if desired.
