How To Make Belgian Waffles

If you are a fan of waffles for breakfast, you will love these flavorful Belgian waffles that are cooked fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside.

Ingredients

  • 2cupsflour
  • 4tspbaking powder
  • ½tspkosher salt
  • cupsugar
  • 2eggs,large, separated
  • ½cupunsalted butter,melted
  • 2cupswhole milk
  • 1tbspvanilla

Instructions

  1. Spray the waffle maker with a bit of oil.

  2. Into a large bowl, sift the flour and baking powder then add the salt and sugar, mixing well.

  3. Using a hand mixer with the egg whites in a small bowl, beat them to stiff peaks that stand straight up.

  4. In a second bowl, whisk the egg yolks, butter, milk, and vanilla together.

  5. Whisk the butter mixture into the flour mixture until just combined, then gently fold in egg whites and pour ⅓ cup servings into the Belgian waffle maker to cook as directed.
