How To Make Banana Oatmeal

Ingredients
- 1cupmilk
- ½cupwater
- 1cupold fashioned oats
- ½cuplow-fat buttermilk
- 1overripe mashed banana
- 3tbsplight-brown sugar
- ¼tspCinnamon
- ⅛tspsalt
- ¼tspvanilla
- 2tbspbutter,or cream, optional
- 2tbsppecans,chopped, optional
Instructions

Bring water and milk just to a boil in a medium saucepan. Reduce heat to medium-low and stir in oats, buttermilk, mashed banana, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.

Cook for 5 more minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove oatmeal from heat, stir in vanilla, and optional butter or cream.

Cover with a lid and let rest for 3 minutes. Serve warm topped with optional chopped pecans.
