Ingredients

  • 12 oz beer, (1 can or bottle)
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • cooking spray
  • cornmeal, for dusting

To Serve:

  • butter, for spreading

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a loaf pan of your choice, preferably 9-inches, and dust with cornmeal.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

  3. Add sugar, butter, and beer. Whisk until it forms a cake batter.

  4. Pour into your loaf pan and bake for roughly 35 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean.

  5. Remove from the loaf pan and allow to cool down on cooling racks until warm enough to handle.

  6. Portion accordingly and treat this like regular bread. Tastes best when toasted, but can also be stored in a chilled area for up to 3 days. Cooldown completely before storing.
