How To Make Marshmallow Meltaways

Marshmallow meltaways are crescent roll-wrapped marshmallows coated in cinnamon, baked until gooey, and covered with a sweet sugar glaze.

Preparation: 10 minutes
Cooking: 8 minutes
Total: 18 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1containerPillsbury Crescent Rounds,(8 count)
  • 8regular sized marshmallows
  • ½cupbutter,melted
  • ½cupsugar
  • 1tspcinnamon

For Glaze:

  • 1cuppowdered sugar
  • milk,or whipping cream
  • almond extract,optional

Instructions

  1. Separate and coil (roll) out the Crescent dough rounds until it looks like a mini cinnamon roll. Then smash down to make a round piece of dough, (bigger than the marshmallow). Set aside.

  2. Taking one Marshmallow at a time, dip into the melted Butter and then roll it in the cinnamon sugar. Place into the center of the dough round and seal it up very tight. Its really important to pinch the dough tightly, so the mallow does not seap out.

  3. Dip dough into the melted Butter and place seam side down into the muffin tin. Bake at 350 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes, until puffed and golden.

  4. While baking, mix together powdered sugar with drops of milk or whipping cream. Add liquid until desired consistency is achieved.

  5. Top the warm meltaways with glaze and serve.
