How To Make Maple Twists
This sweet and filling Maple twists are perfect for your holiday brunch or pair it with a cup of hot coffee after a heavy meal.
Ingredients
- 3 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup confectioners' sugar
- 2 tbsp butter , or margarine, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- ½ cup nuts, chopped
- ⅓ cup maple-flavored syrup
- 2 cups Bisquick baking mix
- ¼ cup milk
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 egg
Instructions

Heat oven to 425 degrees F.

Mix cream cheese, confectioners' sugar, and margarine; reserve.

Mix brown sugar, nuts, and syrup in an ungreased 13x9x2-inch baking pan; spread evenly.

Mix baking mix, milk, granulated sugar, and egg until dough forms; beat vigorously 20 strokes.

Gently smooth the dough into a ball on a cloth-covered board dusted with baking mix.

Knead 8 times.

Roll dough into a 16x9-inch rectangle.

Spread with cream cheese mixture.

Carefully fold the dough lengthwise into thirds; press edges to seal securely.

Cut into sixteen 1-inch strips.

Gently twist ends of strips in opposite directions.

Arrange on a brown sugar mixture and bake for 15 minutes at 425 degrees F.

Serve when ready and refrigerate remaining rolls.
