How To Make Mixed Berry Bread Recipe

A deliciously fruity bread made with mixed berries and a hint of sweetness, perfect for breakfast or as a snack.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 cup of mashed mixed berries
  • 1/4 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup of buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  3. Add in mashed mixed berries, vegetable oil, egg, and buttermilk to the dry ingredients.

  4. Stir until well combined and then pour into a greased loaf pan.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the bread comes out clean.

  6. Remove from oven and allow to cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing and placing onto a wire rack to cool completely.

  7. Slice and serve alone or with your favorite spread.
