French Baguette with Ricotta, Prosciutto and Marsala Figs Recipe

This recipe makes a simple yet elegant appetizer. When you come across a Frech baguette at the nearby bakery, we hope you remember to try out this recipe. We spread ricotta cheese, thinly sliced prosciutto, and dried figs in Marsala wine over our baguette slices. The wine gives the figs an even sweeter taste that really goes well with the salty prosciutto and smoothness of the ricotta.

How To Make French Baguette with Ricotta, Prosciutto and Marsala Figs

  • 8 slices French baguette (cut 1/2-inch thick)
  • 1/4 lb. fresh ricotta cheese
  • 8 slices prosciutto
  • 6 dried figs (quartered)
  • 2 tbsp. dry Marsala wine
  1. Cut the 6 figs into quarters and place in small bowl.
  2. Add 2 Tbs.
  3. Marsala wine and let sit while preparing the rest of the appetizer.
  4. Spread ricotta cheese on the 8 slices of French baguette, top each with one slice of the prosciutto and 3 pieces of fig soaked in the Marsala wine.
