How To Make Easy Brunch Focaccia

This focaccia recipe yields a soft and warm bread, topped with plant-based sausages, pineapples, and bell peppers, for a light and healthy meal!

Ingredients

  • 4Morningstar Farms® Maple Flavored Veggie Sausage Patties
  • 1tubepizza dough,refrigerated
  • ¾cuponion,finely chopped
  • 2tspvegetable oil
  • 1tspdried sage leaves
  • ¼tsppepper
  • 1cupfresh pineapple,finely chopped
  • 1cupmozzarella cheese,or cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Cut the Morningstar Farms® Maple Flavored Veggie Sausage Patties into bite-size pieces. Set aside.

  2. Unroll dough onto baking sheet coated with nonstick cooking spray. Press dough into 14×10-inch rectangle.

  3. In small nonstick skillet, cook the onion in oil over medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes or until tender and beginning to brown, stirring occasionally. Stir in sage and pepper.

  4. Spread over dough. Arrange veggie patty pieces and pineapple on top of onion mixture.

  5. Bake at 425 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are brown. Sprinkle with cheese.

  6. Bake for 5 to 6 minutes more or until cheese melts and crust is golden brown.

  7. Cut into rectangles, serve warm, and enjoy!
