How To Make Cinnamon Roll Breadtwists

Turn gooey cinnamon roll into delectable breadtwists in this recipe. Cinnamon-sugar-dusted dough is baked to perfection and topped with cream cheese glaze.

Ingredients

For Dough:

  • cupswarm water
  • 2tbspsugar
  • 1tbspyeast
  • cupsflour
  • 1tspsalt

For Cinnamon Sugar:

  • 5tbspbutter,melted
  • cupsugar
  • 2tspcinnamon

For Cream Cheese Glaze:

  • 4ozcream cheese,softened
  • 3tbspbutter,softened
  • 1cuppowdered sugar
  • ¼cuphalf and half
  • 1tspvanilla

Instructions

Dough:

  1. Mix warm water, sugar and yeast together. Let that sit for 5 minutes.

  2. Add flour and salt to the water, sugar, and yeast. Mix this until smooth and let it raise for 10 minutes.

  3. Roll out the dough in a large square on a floured surface.

Cinnamon Sugar:

  1. Brush the dough with the melted butter.

  2. Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Sprinkle on top of the melted butter.

  3. Fold the dough in half. Cut the dough into 1-inch strips.

  4. Twist the 1-inch strips of dough and place on a cookie sheet. Let that sit for another 10 to 15 minutes to raise.

  5. Bake at 400 degrees F for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Cream Cheese Glaze:

  1. Combine softened cream cheese, softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Mix until combined and smooth. Drizzle on top of the breadtwists.

  2. Serve and enjoy.
