Apple Fritters Recipe

Apple Fritters Recipe

When I was a little girl I remember going to my Grandma’s house on a Sunday afternoon. For a special treat, she would fry up a batch of apple fritters. She couldn’t keep the plate full – we devoured them that fast!

These apple fritters are a quick and easy dessert to fry up for the kids. You can even top them with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 pcs eggs
  • 2 tsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 5 pc apples, McIntosh or Granny Smith, medium

Instructions

  1. Peel, core, and slice the apples into ¼-inch rings.
  2. Put in bowl with lemon juice so they do not brown.
  3. Sift the dry ingredients together.
  4. Add the milk and butter. Mix.
  5. Pat the apple rings dry so dough sticks to rings.
  6. Make the dough stiff enough to dip the apple rings.
  7. Fry in canola oil at least ½-inch deep.
  8. Drain on paper towel.
  9. Serve.

Recipe Notes

You can sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the rings if preferred.
