Stuffed Portabella Mushrooms Recipe

This is a quick and easy main dish you can make in about 30 minutes. Served with a side salad, this makes a light meal your family will love.

How To Make Stuffed Portabella Mushrooms

  • 5 portabella mushroom caps
  • 1 lb. extra lean ground beef
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp. pizza seasoning
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. onion flakes
  • 4 tbsp. spaghetti sauce
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup Mozzarella cheese
  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Brush any particles from mushrooms with brush or paper towel.

Cut off stems and chop to add to ground beef mixture:

  1. Brown ground beef with mushroom stems, onion flakes, salt, garlic powder, Italian or pizza seasoning.
  2. Stir often to keep meat from clumping.
  3. It should be the consistency of tacos or sloppy joes.
  4. Add spaghetti sauce and Parmesan cheese to meat, stirring until thickened.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Stuff meat filling into caps, slightly packing it.
  7. Place mushroom caps top down on cookie sheet lined with foil.
  8. Sprinkle with shredded Mozzarella cheese and bake about 10 minutes or until cheese melts.
