How To Make Frito Ole'

A wonderful way to serve up nachos! This quick and easy recipe for Frito Ole' is just as good as the ones you get in the street stalls – loved by all. A tasty appetizer to share among your family and friends.

  • 1 lb hamburger
  • 1 bag Fritos corn chips
  • 16 oz cheese, shredded
  • 1 onion, large, chopped
  • 1 head lettuce, chopped
  • 4 tomatoes , chopped
  • 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • salt and pepper , to taste
  • garlic
  • onion powder , to taste


  1. On a large platter, layer Fritos, ⅓ of the cheese, lettuce, and tomato.

  2. Top with the second third of the cheese.
  3. Brown hamburger meat, and add chopped onion.
  4. Drain well. Return to skillet.
  5. Add salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder.
  6. Add tomato sauce, water, and the rest of the cheese.
  7. Stir well and simmer 5 to 10 minutes.
  8. Pour hot meat mixture over entire platter and serve immediately.
