How To Make Copycat Chipotle Lime Chips with Guacamole Recipe

Tortilla chips, made with lime and salt and fried to perfection with guacamole dip make these copycat lime chips a perfect side dish to beefy dishes.

Preparation: 10 minutes
Cooking: 5 minutes
Total: 15 minutes
Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2limes,juiced
  • 1tbspkosher salt
  • 15corn tortillas
  • oil
  • 2avocados,Hass
  • 2tsplime juice
  • 2tbspcilantro,chopped
  • ¼cupred onion,finely chopped
  • ½jalapeno ,finely chopped
  • ¼tspkosher salt

Instructions

Lime Chips:

  1. Wet your clean fingers in lime juice and wipe across the tortillas. Let them rest for 5 to 10 minutes while you make the guacamole.

  2. Cut the chips into 6 even triangles.

  3. Heat your oil to 375 degrees F, cook the chips for 20 to 30 seconds.

  4. Remove tortilla chips and sprinkle salt immediately.

Guacamole:

  1. Cut avocados, remove the pit, and scoop out and into a bowl.

  2. Add lime juice and salt and mash together until smooth.

  3. Add in the cilantro, red onion and jalapeno.

  4. Mix well and serve with chips.
